For all those out there that love to tell true followers of Christ that Jesus hung out with drunks and harlots, translating that every kind of behavior is okay with God, here’s one of many instances where Jesus proves this isn’t true. His reproof of a crippled man proves that His agenda and tolerance isn’t even in the same zip code as those that believe Jesus accepts all kinds of behavior. Stop believing the lies the world tries to put into your head about Jesus. They are simply not true.
13 The man didn’t know, for Jesus had disappeared into the crowd. 14 But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” 15 Then the man went and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had healed him.
John 5:13-15
