Solomon,the wisest king to ever live tells us that it’s safer to stare death in the face than confront an unrepentant sinner. What does that really mean? It means the heart of every man is self-centered. He will do whatever it takes to justify, preserve, or pretend all in an attempt to to “save face”. He will lie, continue to lie, and sacrifice just about everything he owns to preserve the lie, and thus preserve self. That means when you confront someone with the truth, don’t argue with them. Simply state the truth, ask questions, and move on. Remember we are only to point others to God, it’s His responsibility to open their eyes to see the truth. The only thing more foolish than being a fool, is arguing with one.
12 It is safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than to confront a fool caught in foolishness.
