If I were to list the most important things on this earth, most people would be surprised that none of them are things. First would be people, the soul and spirit of a human being is the most important thing on this earth. Next would be relationships; With God first, then others. Next would be time. Each of us are given 86,400 seconds each day, and it replenishes the next day (but not for all). Next would be wisdom. If we don’t learn from our mistakes, we will continue to make the same ones over and over (it’s called foolishness). Next would be good judgement. Knowing how to decipher truth from lies can make or break you. Lastly, is love: learning to die to self, serve others, and truly live. These are the most important things on this planet. Yet so many of us set them aside in the pursuits of vanity, silver and gold, fame, power, and self-gratification. The most important things in life are not things. We need to always re-evaluate our priorities and pursuits, daily. Never forget this.
16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver! 17 The path of the virtuous leads away from evil; whoever follows that path is safe.
