When people rebel against God, they think they are hurting or punishing Him. They think they are the ones in control. We as believers know God is sovereign. He is always in control. This brings peace and comfort to us. Unfortunately for those who resist God, and live their lives as if He doesn’t exist, their defiance only enhances God’s glory. He uses their disregard for Him as a weapon. Their rebellion, evil acts, or ill-intended plans are used to destroy rebellion, evil acts, or ill-intended plans. He even uses it to bring others back to Him. It’s what His sovereignty is all about. God will get the Glory. Why fight it? We will either honor Him and His ways with how we conduct ourselves, or we will be used by Him with our rebellion to bring Him Glory any way. I guess it’s just a matter of which side you stand on that determines what kind of spiritual insight He gives us or withholds from us. Interesting, isn’t it?
Human defiance only enhances Your glory, for You use it as a weapon.
