Responsibility For One’s Self….

We live in a world that makes excuses for everything. Every wrong that’s brought to light is met with justification. People are so defensive when it comes to critique or criticism. The bottom line to all of this is the inability to take responsibility for one’s self. If we are not responsible for our own behavior, then who is? Our parents, teachers, friends, the government? I mean look at the world now. People are removing statues thinking it will help their cause. They are trying to solve racism by being aggressively racist. You can’t shake hatred out of someone. You can’t force it either. It’s not until a man examines his own heart, revealing all of the turmoil inside of it, that he can see clearly enough to diagnose the problem. And the problem is the sinfulness in one’s own heart. If you want to change the world you don’t force people into agreeing with you, that’s a temporary emotional high, not a solution. You change the world by changing your own heart. Once you do that, only with God’s help, can you then start influencing others to do the same. The world can only change for the better one heart at a time. It starts with mine. There’s really no one to blame for our foolishness but ourselves. We can point the finger at others and even toward God, but in reality, no one but me is responsible for my behavior. Real change starts in the heart on every human being. It’s one person at a time. It may be a slow process, but it’s effective and one that’s worth the effort.

3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord. Proverbs 19:3

If You Truly Love Someone….

If you truly love someone, you will correct them. You don’t let them continue to sin. Remember (as I’ve said before), Jesus dined with sin...
