Part of being humble is constantly doing a speaker check. No, I’m not talking about your iPhone speaker Bluetooth or stereo speakers, I’m talking about who is speaking through you. There are only 3 possibilities. You, God, or Satan. Unless the Holy Spirit has a good grip on you, you will either be speaking for yourself or Satan. Where is that going to get you? Who is that going to benefit? How can that help anyone? Unless you are in tune with God and speaking truth appropriately applied, by walking closely with Him daily, chances are your advice has limited value. Do a speaker-check today, and see where the origin of your words are coming from. Examine your words under the microscope of Truth.
1 Then Job spoke again: 2 “How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the weak! 3 How you have enlightened my stupidity! What wise advice you have offered! 4 Where have you gotten all these wise sayings? Whose spirit speaks through you?
Job 26:1-4
