Words straight from Isaiah’s pen, given to him by God Himself. When someone contradicts God’s word, they have no clue what they are talking about. At least they don’t realize what they are saying/supporting. They are completely in the dark, living as though it’s noon on a tropical beach in paradise. I wish more of our politicians wouldn’t claim to be Christian, then promote bills and laws that contradict God’s word. But what’s worse is for people to believe them, that their cause will benefit people. I guess it goes back to Romans chapter one. And the life of Saul before he became Paul. Until the scales are removed from our eyes, we see what we want to see. We worship the God who we want to see, instead of the God Who actually is.
19 Someone may say to you, “Let’s ask the mediums and those who consult the spirits of the dead. With their whisperings and mutterings, they will tell us what to do.” But shouldn’t people ask God for guidance? Should the living seek guidance from the dead?20 Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict His word are completely in the dark. 21 They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven 22 and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.
