If someone ever asks you for the reason why you fight for what God says is right, give them this simple answer: I don’t want to drink from a polluted/muddy spring. Standing with God means opposing the wicked. What spurs us on is not so much about who we are fighting against as much as it is about what we are fighting for, and Who stands behind us in the fight. We don’t hate our enemies, rather we love our God. We do hate evil because it’s what hinders and tries to destroy what God calls good.
26 If the godly give in to the wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring.
Proverbs 25:26
