Hands That Have Your Name Written On Them….

When you think of people getting tattoos, and piercings, they have all kinds of reasons. Some are selfish, while others get them as reminders to never forget a person or event, to mark a significant time in their life. To think that a person would permanently stain/disfigure their body for a selfless cause means something. Now imagine a person who does it 100% from a selfless point of view. Imagine someone sacrificing their life in order to set you free from prison, or a death sentence. Would that mean something to you? How would you take that if it was a stranger, someone you don’t know? Would you embrace it? Reject it? Be grateful? Be apathetic? Someone has done this for you, Jesus on the cross. He died in your place. He paid the penalty you deserve. The question arises, how are you going to react when you see Jesus face to face? And He reaches out with His two scarred hands? Hands that have your name written on them. What you do about it now, determines if those hands will be reaching out to embrace you, or pointing you in the direction of a place to eternally live without Him.

14 Yet Jerusalem says, “The Lord has deserted us;the Lord has forgotten us.” 15 “Never! can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible,I would not forget you!16 See, I have written your name on the palms of My hands.Always in My mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. Isaiah 49:14-16
