Think of the sanctification process like an education. The more we study the smarter we get. In first grade we know a little. But by college age, we know a whole lot more. The same holds true for God: the more we pursue His will, the more we will come to know Him. Time is the factor, the more time we put in, the deeper our relationship with Him becomes. If our goal is to pursue God, to know Him better and better, we will produce every kind of good fruit there is, and enjoy the journey at every turn. God equals our significance. We fulfill our purpose by serving Him. And we find peace only in Him. Make it your goal to pursue God and watch your discontent with life fade away like the most beautiful sunset you’ve ever seen.
9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
Colossians 1:9-10
