When we do the right thing, from a sincere heart, serving the Lord, out of our love for Him, we experience more of His presence. It’s like worship that never ends. This is not religious works trying to earn favor. It’s redemption responding appropriately. Following Jesus brings us closer to what God intended, like in the beginning in the garden before the fall. It’s the best we can experience while still living in a sin-marred world. God’s presence is our best.
12 I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you.’
