Knowing God’s will is only part of life. Doing it is the other part. Train yourself to see life through God’s eyes, for that is the first part of living a life that’s pleasing to God. The other part is disciplining ourselves by living it out in obedience. These two things when done together are called the sanctifying process. In order to be sanctified, we must become more like Jesus, by doing what Jesus did. Being aware of God’s will is half the battle, the other half is putting what we know to be true into action.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I run to You to hide me.10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.11 For the glory of Your name, O Lord, preserve my life. Because of Your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress.12 In Your unfailing love, silence all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am Your servant.
