When you speak truth, you never have to worry about what you said. When you speak lies, you’re always subjected to keeping them fed. Falsehood has an insatiable appetite, it can’t be satisfied no matter how much you feed it. Eventually, the stakes are raised to a level that the human spirit cannot bear, and it all comes tumbling down, crushing you to pieces. A lie will only keep your attention until the cost surpasses your ability to pay it. In God’s economy, integrity has no holiday. Walking in integrity paves a safe and protected path.
