The next time you’re feeling down or sick, lift up your face towards the Heavens and let out a loud praise to God. Think of what God has done for you: given life, love, friendships; provided food, money, and security. He’s even given you your very next breath. A miraculous thing will begin to happen. Joy will start to crowd out those depressing feelings, because it becomes personal. The Bible clearly shows us that praising God brings joy.
1 I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart;I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.2 I will be filled with joy because of You. I will sing praises to Your name, O Most High.
Psalms 9:1-2
