People search far and wide for security. They look for it in the pursuit of money, relationships, power, fame, possessions, time, and places, only to find a false sense of it. This pseudo-security people find only lasts a short while. Temporary things cannot bring real security. Why? Because they are temporary. The only security you’ll ever find that lasts, can only be found in the One Who’s eternal and doesn’t change. When you trust God, whole-heartedly, with any situation, He will become your security. And this security will last, because He is eternal.
21 My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment.Hang on to them,22 for they will refresh your soul.They are like jewels on a necklace.23 They keep you safe on your way,and your feet will not stumble.24 You can go to bed without fear;you will lie down and sleep soundly.25 You need not be afraid of sudden disasteror the destruction that comes upon the wicked,26 for the Lord is your security.He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
