Until the Believer can honestly say this, our walk will only progress in tiny steps, or not at all. Why? Because it’s not until we fully let go of the attitude of “I’m in control”, that we make room for the Spirit to work in us. It’s impossible to fill up a full cup, isn’t it? When we see our future in a His hands, it frees us to fully experience life without fear, without guilt or shame, and without worry of the future. God is trustworthy. He is in control of everything. We just need to acknowledge that in our own lives.
14 But I am trusting You, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!”15 My future is in Your hands.Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.16 Let Your favor shine on Your servant. In Your unfailing love, rescue me.
