Cheating others is wrong. Using false testimonies or inaccurate scales or measures is hated by God. Think about it, if you have to deceive or cheat someone to get what you want, or worse yet, get more than you want, it truly shows where your heart is (in the wrong place). If getting what you want means taking advantage of another human being, it should clearly show you it’s not worth having. Our selfish nature means we will always have cheaters in this life, but you don’t have to be one of them. The most important things in this life are not things, it’s people. Things don’t last, people do. Think about it, the souls of people live forever, when you treat another human being the right way you’re affecting eternity. It matters to God how you treat them. It starts with honesty and respect.
16 All who cheat with dishonest weights and measures are detestable to the Lord your God.
Deuteronomy 25:16
