How many of us have forgotten the importance of our conscience? How often do we “go with” what we know to be true. I’m not talking about your feelings, I’m talking about that small tiny voice inside all of us. The one that tells you “no, this isn’t a good idea”. The one that says, “I shouldn’t be doing this”. Or the one that says, “do it, it’s the right thing to do”. When we act on that voice and do what our instincts tell us, we find freedom. We find significance. We should be glad when our conscience speaks to us even if it interferes with “having a good time”, and be worried when it doesn’t.
36 Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind?
Job 38:36
