When God opens a door, no one can close it. When God closes a door, no one can open it. I want to be on God’s side because I want to be on the right side of the door when it opens or closes. Imagine a fire igniting in your home, and not having the ability to extinguish it. You’ll lose everything; everything near and dear to your heart. When we think we are strong, and can get along without God, we are really helpless, which eventually leads to hopeless.
30 You will be like a great tree with withered leaves, like a garden without water.31 The strongest among you will disappear like straw; their evil deeds will be the spark that sets it on fire. They and their evil works will burn up together, and no one will be able to put out the fire.
Isaiah 1:30-31
