The Psalmist knew the secret to being close to God; studying His Word, reflecting on it daily, taking delight in reading it, and not forgetting it. When you read the Bible daily, and then imitate Jesus throughout your day, your relationship with God will deepen and grow. It only stagnates when you neglect His Word and pursue self instead of Him. It’s a heart issue. Store His Word in your heart (by cherishing it), and your heart will be satisfied, and full.
15 I will study Your commandments and reflect on Your ways. 16 I will delight in Your decrees and not forget Your word.
Psalms 119:15-16
