What is the ultimate desire of God? To know Him. Once we do, we stay hungry in our pursuit of Him. Then we point others to Him. Then teach them to know Him as well. One day, when God’s plan is fulfilled, we will no longer have to teach anyone about God, because everyone will already know Him. Our job here on earth is only temporary. Take it seriously, but also remember our effectiveness is all dependent on our knowing God intimately. And that starts, and continues with a daily, personal pursuit of Him. Get into His word, and share your life with Him every single day. God uses us fully when we come humbly to His throne.
10 But this is the new covenant I will makewith the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord:I will put My laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts.I will be their God,and they will be My people.11 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know Me already.12 And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”
Hebrews 8:10-12
