The Book Of Nature….

Nature reveals the truth about God’s existence. A painting has a painter. A building has a builder. And all of creation has a Creator. If one stands on the edge of the ocean, or on a hilltop among the forest, or at the base of a mountain range, you can’t help but be in awe of what you see. Not only that, you feel alive, grateful, and have questions that are not answered. Nature, or the Book of Nature as some have deemed it, clearly proves God’s existence. It gives man evidence that demands his attention, and it leaves him without excuse. Nature let’s us know God is out there, but it doesn’t give an answer to our sin problem. Only God’s word gives us a clear understanding of our nature, our dilemma with sin, and the only remedy we have to be made right with God and restored into the one relationship that matters most. Nature’s beauty stirs up a sense to pursue knowing our Creator, or at least question Who He is. Creation reveals God’s power and knowledge, but it’s His Word that reveals His love and grace. Nature acknowledges God’s existence, but it’s His Word that shows us He desires a relationship with us. Nature pulls us into God’s existence, and His Word draws us into the right relationship that restores our soul. It starts with nature, then progress into His Word. The bottom line to all of this is the fact that we are without excuse; nature is the proving ground for the skeptic. We have no legitimate reason for not knowing our Maker. And we suffer for it when we ignore His call.

1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God.The skies display His craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak;night after night they make Him known.3 They speak without a sound or word;their voice is never heard.4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.6 The sun rises at one end of the heavensand follows its course to the other end.Nothing can hide from its heat. 7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.8 The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.9 Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true;each one is fair.10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.11 They are a warning to Your servant,a great reward for those who obey them. 12 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?Cleanse me from these hidden faults.13 Keep Your servant from deliberate sins!Don’t let them control me.Then I will be free of guiltand innocent of great sin. 14 May the words of my mouthand the meditation of my heartbe pleasing to You,O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:1-14

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities–His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20
