If you’re not truly reading scripture to learn, to draw closer to God, then you are missing out on all the little nuggets of truth revealed in each verse. Here in Exodus chapter 7, this truth jumped out at me when I read it: people are God’s main source of revealing Himself to us. People are the main resource God uses to accomplish His will. We are His focus. It’s found in the second sentence of verse 4. He will “rescue His forces”, meaning we are His army, His soldiers, that do His work, that serve His purposes. We are the force of the Gospel on earth. We are what He uses to reach the lost, heal the sick, comfort the down-trodden. We serve a purpose, more so after we are saved from ourselves (become a Christian). We are the force God uses to accomplish His will. If you’re not reading carefully, you might have missed it.
4 Even then Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you. So I will bring down My fist on Egypt. Then I will rescue My forces–My people, the Israelites–from the land of Egypt with great acts of judgment.
