Have you ever wondered why certain things bother you? Like when a guilty person is acquitted. Or when good is repaid with evil. Or being around someone who starts fights. The reason you feel bothered is because these behaviors bother God. These behaviors violate God’s character. The closer you become to God, you’ll find the things that bother you, are the things that bother Him. God is just, and He won’t sit back and allow evil to reign for long. And neither should we.
13 If you repay good with evil, evil will never leave your house. 14 Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before a dispute breaks out. 15 Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent–both are detestable to the Lord.
Proverbs 17:13-15
