There is a peace that passes all understanding. A peace that soothes the soul. There’s a peace that protects the heart from invasion. It’s the peace of God. It comes only from Him, and it sustains us in all situations. It doesn’t prevent us from experiencing hard times, it just protects us through them. Paul tells us in Ephesians to put on the shoes of peace, for they give us traction and stability, the ability to hold one’s ground in battle. In a world of anxiety, worry, shame, depression, and relentless attacks on our souls, it so comforting to known God can grant us peace in the middle of a storm, for He is the rock on which we build our house. He is the secure place we can send our fear for disposal. God’s ways promote peaceful living, and a sense of security throughout life. Know Jesus, know peace. No Jesus, no peace.
33 But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”
Proverbs 1:33
