Isn’t it strange that of all the people in the world, the most heavily persecuted people are Christians? Christians don’t destroy things. They don’t fight you either. They don’t cause chaos. Christians simply speak truth. And it’s this truth that causes it hearers to be uncomfortable. Which eventually leads them to lash out, to hate so much that they begin to persecute. Look at current issues today. Radical agendas want to silence truth speakers. If you don’t agree and accept their point of view your persecuted. It’s not right or fair, but it is going to happen regardless of what you think. Jesus told His disciples this, and thus He’s telling each of us too. Part of being a follower of Christ is knowing people will hate us because of Him. Get used to it; it comes with the territory. Take heart though, those that endure will get a great reward in the end.
21 “A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed.22 And all nations will hate you because you are My followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10:21-22
