If there was a way to strip off the deception sin has and show a man it’s enslaving nature, do you think it would change him? Maybe. Some would get it right away and repent. Some would be devastated because they would realize the truth but not know how to deal with it. Some would just blow it off, wishing it away. And some would ignore it and continue on living the same way. Whichever category you see yourself in reveals the condition of your heart. If change is to occur, it starts with your willingness to accept truth. God knows us better than we know ourselves. And the truth is this, we are all sinners in need of a Savior.
21 For the Lord sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes.22 An evil man is held captive by his own sins;they are ropes that catch and hold him.23 He will die for lack of self-control;he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
Proverbs 5:21-23
