You Can’t Beat God….

One of the saddest things about people when they try to oppose God, in all their vigor to disprove, or ridicule believers, or even do evil acts out of hatred, their drive to win the battle is only because of deception employed by Satan himself. If people knew they couldn’t win against opposing God, maybe most of them wouldn’t even try. Satan fights a losing battle. He knows he can’t win, but that doesn’t stop him from continuing to deceive people away from God. If you think about it, Satan can’t beat God, but in his outright, blatant hatred of Him, he still tries to do everything in his power to oppose everything God wants for us. It’s his way of “getting back at God”. And we believe and follow him at times. Here in Exodus chapter 15, we read the song of deliverance of the Israelites after being rescued from pharaoh. Think about it, if the Egyptians knew they couldn’t defeat the Israelites, they wouldn’t have been deceived into chasing after them. They wouldn’t have hastened their own death, by entering the Red Sea. Their deception by Satan, and their belief that they could defeat God, led them to their demise. If the world, who preaches against racism, prejudice, and hatred, could truly see Satan’s vile deceptive plan to oppose God, maybe it wouldn’t rush into this destructive spider’s web so quickly. Maybe when it realizes “YOU CAN’T BEAT GOD”, it will realize the hypocrisy in its efforts and actually stand on its own principles that hate hatred. Regardless, for believers, we must see Satan’s deceptive practices and put a stop to allowing them to influence us in our behaviors and reactions to others who oppose God. When we see it this way, it should change our approach to how we treat others. Deception changes everything. And it’s our proper response to shine the light, God’s truth, into it to expose it for what it truly is, one being’s hatred for God, so much so, Satan is willing to go down in flames in a losing battle just to try to hurt God. It’s evil in its purest form. We must see it, and get rid of any form of it in our own lives first. Once we do that, we will be able to see more clearly to help those who lack spiritual sight.

7 In the greatness of Your majesty,You overthrow those who rise against You.You unleash Your blazing fury;it consumes them like straw.8 At the blast of Your breath, the waters piled up!The surging waters stood straight like a wall;in the heart of the sea the deep waters became hard. 9 “The enemy boasted, ‘I will chase them and catch up with them.I will plunder them and consume them.I will flash my sword;my powerful hand will destroy them.’10 But You blew with Your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. Exodus 15:7-10
