The greatest thing about God is His willingness to forgive. He can and will forgive the most vile of sinners. If Adolph Hitler truly repented of his sin, God would’ve forgiven him and welcomed him into His family. Digest that thought for a second. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, forgiveness is just one contrite, spirited prayer away, and your sin will be cast into the deepest part of the ocean, never to be seen again. God loves us so much, that He gives us a choice: to reciprocate His love, or deny it. God allows “no” to be acceptable response from us, for love does not demand its own way (1 Cor 13). When we choose to deny His love, we can change our minds and embrace it. But if we continue to deny His love, there will be no forgiveness. It’s that clear-cut. The only sin that God will not forgive is not believing Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God are One. He can’t grant you eternal life with Him if you choose not to want to be there with Him. Now, that’s real love. It always gives us a choice.
28 “I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,29 but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.”30 He told them this because they were saying, “He’s possessed by an evil spirit.”
