A Limited Amount Of Time That God Extends His Grace….

Reading today’s scripture I can’t help but think of how many people seek peace through many avenues, but deny Jesus. Jesus’ words here couldn’t be more obvious in telling us the only way to true peace is through Him. God has made a way to be forgiven of our sin and be made right with Him. As it says, “you did not accept your opportunity for salvation”, telling us there’s a limited amount of time that God extends His grace to us. After that, we are at the mercy of our decision to pass up this “redemption”. I can’t tell you how many people die every day, young, healthy, and either in the prime of their life or have their entire life ahead of them. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, so make the most of today. Today is the day of salvation. Don’t pass it up, for it might just be the last offer we’re going get. For those of us who have received this salvation and eternal peace, give God the credit for rescuing us for His glory. Salvation is evidence of a transformed heart. Live your life as evidence of this transformation to a dying, lost world, and God will be honored by those who see it.

41 But as He came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, He began to weep. 42 “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.43 Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side.44 They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not accept your opportunity for salvation.” Luke 19:41-44
