Why People Don’t “Get God”….

Have you ever wondered why people don’t “get God”? I mean understand His words. It’s because the significance of His words have been hidden from them. God has a way of keeping His truth from people due to their lack of zeal for Him. I’m sure there are many other reasons, but keeping it hidden from people is something He still does to this day. That’s why we are to constantly be pursuing God (trying to know Him on a deeper level) every day. When we truly worship Him, I mean 100% sold out, not worrying about what others think, give up any pride we might have, kind of worship, God will reveal more of Himself to us. It’s a lifelong pursuit. It never stops, never ends, and the rewards are constantly being received throughout our lifetime. It’s not easy, but nothing that lasts ever really is, is it? Even a flower has to push through a little dirt, doesn’t it? The reason most people never get to experience God, realizing it is God actually blessing them with His presence, is due to the fact that they haven’t studied the Real Thing. Their lack of desire to know God has made them blind to the spiritual side of life. They are spiritually blind (or “spiritually dead” as the Bible actually calls the condition). Ask God today to reveal something about Himself that you didn’t know, then pursue Him with all of your heart. It’s the only way I know how to grow spiritually, and avoid the failure of not grasping His words.
