Here’s a simple, yet credible question: How can a blob of tissue be a sinner? How can David say this? The answer is simple, life begins at conception. In order for someone to be a sinner, they must be alive. And they must be a person. Plants don’t sin, do they? How about rocks? Animals? Only people sin. A woman becomes a mother from the moment she conceives. A man becomes a father at that same moment. A man and woman’s parents become grandparents at that same moment. If God desires honesty from the womb, life must begin at conception in the womb. Here is only one reference in the Bible that gives clear evidence of this truth. God knows when life begins, for He is the one that gives it. Who are we going to listen to when making up our own mind on the question of when life begins? The Author of life? Or someone who wants to justify their sexual freedom with no consequences? When a baby is developing in the womb, God is providing all that is necessary for that child to be who they individually are. Messing with that process is “Playing God”. It’s best to leave that role solely to Him, for we don’t have the power or ability to take over His job, do we?
For I was born a sinner–yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. 6 But You desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there.
Psalms 51:5-6
