If you’ve read many of these entries you’re very aware of my call to action of pursuing God. The one thing I may not have made clear about this pursuit is that it is a response to His constant pursuit of us. No one comes to Jesus unless God draws him first (John 6:44). It’s our response to God’s call that starts the salvation process. This all crafted in such a way that brings God the glory, and leaves us grateful, not being able to take credit for something He can only do. God knows what He is doing. He has placed the ball (free gift of grace) in our court. The question is “how will you respond, knowing you can’t take the credit for your salvation”?
14 All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him.
2 Samuel 14:14
