Jesus is the only One that grants true peace of mind and heart. So many people try to medicate, inebriate, or fill up their lives with stuff they think will bring them peace, only to ruin their lives in the pursuit of self. Jesus grants us peace and joy, something the world cannot give. Even though we see plenty of people preaching the “good life”, deep down inside they’d give it all up for one good night’s rest. The facade of fame and fortune looks beautiful on the outside, but the only thing that beauty really does is hide the distress and ugliness of all that goes with the consequences of a life spent pursuing self. Jesus is the only Way to peace. The only way. And He grants if if we just ask. What will it cost? Your willingness to give up the pursuit of the temporary for the completeness of the Eternal.
