One of the greatest comforts in placing our faith and trust in God is that He is never too far away to hear our prayers. David knew this, he knew God would hear his prayers no matter where he was. This gave him confidence to continue fighting, pushing forward through adversity. Think about that for a second. There’s no place we could ever go, the highest mountain top, deepest cave, the deepest part of the ocean with infinite gallons of water squeezing you in, or even the moon, that God couldn’t hear our prayers. Do you know what that means? He is always right there ready to hear our requests. Hopefully, they are not all requests. Hopefully, there’s some gratitude and praise mixed in. God is never more than a breath of your prayer away. We are never alone, even if we “feel” like we are, we are not. That’s real comfort.
7 But in my distress I cried out to the Lord;yes, I cried to my God for help.He heard me from His sanctuary;my cry reached His ears.
2 Samuel 22:7
