When you come to experience the God of all existence, you learn Who He is by what He does. He is faithful, full of integrity, pure, just, merciful, gracious, and most of all, loving. For those that put these qualities into practice in their own lives, God rewards them with a bigger capacity to continue to practice them. For those who practice integrity, more integrity is given. For those who are just, more justice is given. For those who love, a bigger capacity to love is given. But for those who oppose these qualities, God shows Himself hostile to them. To the proud He shows humiliation. True prosperity can’t be measured monetarily, at least not all the blessings God gives can be measured fiscally. True prosperity, in which the Bible speaks so much about, is man’s ability to be like God. Practicing His qualities gives us the ability to be like Him. And when we are like Him, we prosper, and so does the world. Being “rich” in our relationship with God is true prosperity. This is the riches Jesus talked about that couldn’t be taken away or destroyed.
26 “To the faithful you show Yourself faithful;to those with integrity you show integrity.27 To the pure you show Yourself pure, but to the wicked you show Yourself hostile.28 You rescue the humble, but Your eyes watch the proud and humiliate them.29 O Lord, you are my lamp. The Lord lights up my darkness.30 In Your strength I can crush an army;with my God I can scale any wall. 31 “God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true.He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.
