We live in what some would call tumultuous times. People have abandoned God. There is little responsibility. And a certain section of people, growing larger and larger everyday, are trying to turn this country on its head. I have never seen a society hate one man so much, to the point of destroying things and blaming him for it. Anyway, this isn’t new. It’s happened from the beginning. People are fickle. Take Moses for example. Born in Egypt, taken in by royalty, and raised by the elite. He came back to his own people but they rejected him. He spent 40 years in the wilderness. Then he meets God. He returns to Egypt where his people rave and accept him. He leads them out of Egypt only to be rejected constantly. The cycle continues: hate him, love him, question him, repeat. It wasn’t until God eliminated all the older generation that they were allowed to go into the promised land. All human beings are fickle. Don’t be surprised when you see this type of behavior, especially when it’s done collectively. God is in control. His plans will always prevail. Remember, we are not home yet, this is just temporary. Our leaders are put in positions by God, like it or not. Our job is to share the Good News with the world, one soul at a time.
5 “So God sent back the same man His people had previously rejected when they demanded, ‘Who made you a ruler and judge over us?’ Through the angel who appeared to him in the burning bush, God sent Moses to be their ruler and savior. 36 And by means of many wonders and miraculous signs, He led them out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and through the wilderness for forty years.
Acts 7:35-36
