What does God’s power look like in our life? Do we see love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our life? Or are these just words we commonly use? Jesus said, “you will know a tree by the fruit it bears”. Instead of using eloquent words to make ourselves look better than we really are, put them into practice. Why try to live a “Facebook Life”? It won’t ever be acceptable to God, for it’s a virtual (made up) life. It isn’t reality. Isn’t He the One we should care the most about what He thinks of us? With God’s help anything is possible, lived out, rather than just talked about. Talk is cheap, and in the end, we all know, we get exactly what we pay for. God’s power produces fruit. Let your fruit do the talking for you. It’s precise. It’s effective. And it’s authentic.
But I will come–and soon–if the Lord lets me, and then I’ll find out whether these arrogant people just give pretentious speeches or whether they really have God’s power. 20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.
