If you really think about some of the current movements/causes going on right now they all are solely based on a world-view. If you believe man is sinful, and the world is slowly dying, then you must have a responsibility to a higher Being. You conduct your life with the end in mind. If however, you believe man is naturally good, and he can reach a state of perfection or establish a utopian society, then you seek to please yourself, you’re not responsible to anyone (an oxymoron in itself), and you blame everyone else for your problems. And most importantly, you’d rather be praised by fools than criticized by wise people. The truth offends you, so suppress it. Does this make sense? Look around, it’s happening, right in front of our eyes. It’s what American politics are about. Which world-view do you hold? It matters.
5 Better to be criticized by a wise person than to be praised by a fool.
