If God hates pride and self-centeredness, why do we continue to exude them? It’s not what’s true that’s most important, it’s how we respond to the truth that matters most. Truth is important, but truth doesn’t save us, God does. Truth’s #1 function is to point us to God. If it doesn’t, then we fail ourselves. Character check: am I being prideful? Self-centered? Am I putting “less important things” in front of “most important things” just because? Do something about now. Before humility pays you a long, painful visit. Go to God and ask Him for help. He won’t ignore your request. I promise.
11 Human pride will be brought down,and human arrogance will be humbled. Only the Lord will be exalted on that day of judgment.
