The main reason why real Christians should never get too comfortable here on earth, is because it’s only a temporary stay; we are just passing through. No matter how much our nature, the world, our good intentions, or Satan tries to get us to love being here, it will never be like what God initially intended. That’s what Heaven is for. And to think, Isaiah wrote this over 2,800 years ago. Why is it so easy to forget?
The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated His laws, and broken His everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin.
