When God carries out His justice, those who do evil eventually fall into their own trap. The irony of evil behavior will always be met with the justice of God. He tends to not waste much thought on retribution; He just turns around the evil schemes of those who initiate them back onto themselves.
15 The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others.Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set.16 The Lord is known for His justice. The wicked are trapped by their own deeds. 17 The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.
Psalms 9:15-17
