There come times when we are to fight for our faith, and times when we are to be still, and witness God fighting for us. At the Red Sea, the Israelites are told by Moses to “stand and watch” God rescue them. The true disciple knows when to fight and when to “stand and watch”. Either way, its being connected to God that helps us know the the difference. When a life truly pursues God, discernment follows; obedience is rewarded with faith.
13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
