There is no stronger charge a father can leave his family with than what King David left his son Solomon. As a matter of fact, there’s nothing more important than this in all the pursuits of this life. Learn to known God intimately. Serve and worship Him with your whole heart and willing mind. Seeking Him guarantees you’ll find Him. And remember if you reject Him, He will allow you to live without Him, forever. Take this seriously. You can’t get more simple than this. It’s our duty to live out this charge. Intimacy with God has no greater reward.
“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. 10 So take this seriously.
