Regardless of what people think, God’s sovereignty reigns on this earth. Nothing happens without His knowledge; not even one sparrow falling to the ground. Yet we act as if chance and randomness reign. We worry about our finances. We struggle with worry, creating anxiety that often requires medication to remedy it. We watch the news and get terrified or depressed. We witness arrogant people boast and make claims as if they are in control. We see governments crumble or make decisions that hurt their own people. And in all of this we fail to see the God of all creation participating, patiently waiting and watching His plan play out. Why is it that we fail to see this? To trust Him in all of it? The answer is simple, we are fickle. We simple lack the consistent ability to stay steadfast in our faith. We fail to set aside our feelings and focus on what we know to be true. We fail to grasp the security right in front of us that only God provides. We fail to see the GOODNESS of God. Imagine how different our lives would be if we trusted God more and ourselves less? Everything happens at its appointed time. We can’t stop it. Why not accept God’s sovereignty and make Him Lord of our life? Then when adversity comes, and it will come, we can rest assured in His sovereign will. God’s grace and love covers a multitude of sins. And that makes us acceptable to Him. Everything has an appointed time. Embrace God’s sovereignty, for it it for our good, and it will help you truly live. Trust is the basis in any relationship. It’s a two-way street. God can and should be trusted. It’s for our own good. With it comes peace, security, and purpose; the kind that only God can give. Without it, well, you’ve probably experienced this all the days of your life, so you already know the answer to the question, “how’s it working for you?”
27 Seeking nothing but each other’s harm, these kings will plot against each other at the conference table, attempting to deceive each other. But it will make no difference, for the end will come at the appointed time.
Daniel 11:27
29 “Then at the appointed time he will once again invade the south, but this time the result will be different.
Daniel 11:29
36 “The king will do as he pleases, exalting himself and claiming to be greater than every god, even blaspheming the God of gods. He will succeed, but only until the time of wrath is completed. For what has been determined will surely take place.
Daniel 11:36
