Christians have always been told that if God is not in it, it will not happen. Here’s one example of this in Exodus chapter three. God tells Moses that He has heard the cry of the Israelites and is about to rescue them. But Pharaoh must be forced to abide in God’s plan. This shows us that unless God is in it, it’s not going to happen. It’s God’s sovereignty that makes the world work, for He knows every heart. If you try to witness to others, but you don’t prepare yourself beforehand, no matter what you say or do, won’t accomplish your goal of reaching the lost. God is the only One that can change a hard heart. Sometimes it takes ten plagues in a foreign land just to get someone’s attention. Start your day in God’s word and with prayer, and it just might end with a population increase His eternal kingdom.
19 “But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand forces him. 20 So I will raise My hand and strike the Egyptians, performing all kinds of miracles among them. Then at last he will let you go. 21 And I will cause the Egyptians to look favorably on you. They will give you gifts when you go so you will not leave empty-handed. 22 Every Israelite woman will ask for articles of silver and gold and fine clothing from her Egyptian neighbors and from the foreign women in their houses. You will dress your sons and daughters with these, stripping the Egyptians of their wealth.”
Exodus 3:19-22
